Some of my fondest memories of my brother Robert are from various long distance conversations that he and I had over the last 40+ years. 
Conversations would vary from family, projects, investments, politics, weather, etc.
We discussed his younger days and his acceptance to the Dentistry program at the University of Manitoba.  He took great pride in his accomplishment and his dental practice. 
Robert built his family home on Kilkenny Avenue; completing many tasks on his own and with the help of his father Emile by his side.  His home was his castle and his sanctuary.
Robert also had a love for his siblings.   He would ask if I’d spoken to our brothers, Rheal (Joyce), Marcel or Larry (Wendy); showing genuine interest on what was going on in our lives.
He asked about his nieces and nephews: Jason, Kevin, Taira, Aaron, Taylor, Rachelle, Max, Christopher, Justin and Lisa Joy.  He was very proud of their successes.  He would  also ask about Christopher’s two little girls, Olive and Beatrice, Taira’s son Micah and Kevin’s two boys, Tristan and Aidan.  He loved to  hear the hockey stories!
We spoke about his two little granddaughters who live in Florida and how he enjoyed seeing pictures of them.  He talked about his grandson Eric who resides in Winnipeg.  He was very proud of his grandchildren.
In Rob‘s younger years he was active in bodybuilding and competed in the Manitoba teen competition.
He had a love for painting.  Over the years Robert painted many scenic portraits; completing one at our home when we lived in Ontario.  He also had a knack with a sewing machine. He shortened his pants and took in the legs.  No task was too big.

Robert, you left us too soon, but you will be forever in our hearts 💕.  I’m glad we had a chance to say goodbye.  Rest in peace with Mom and Dad.
May you soar with the Angels till we meet again!
