Roger Joseph Maurice Lajoie

September 19,1943 - December 11, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle and Friend.

Roger passed away suddenly at St. Boniface Hospital with all of his loved ones by his side.

Roger was pre-deceased by his Mother Germaine Carriere, Father Frank Lajoie, brothers Marcel and Roland and his son Little Roger.

Roger is survived by his Wife Greta and his kids Bruce (Julie), Gail (Gerald), Katherine (Adrian), Karen, Jason (Christine), Patrick (Kimberly), Terry, Matthew (Sheila), and Michelle (Matt) as well as his 25 Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild.

Roger was a true bushman at heart, he supported his family by working hard in the woods cutting down trees especially during the winter months chopping down many Christmas trees.

Roger couldn’t go a day without his scratch N’ wins and loved playing poker with family and winning the big pots. He would spend hours playing crazy 8’s with his kids and Granddaughters.

He was the most amazing man with a contagious one toothed smile, he had a free minded spirit and heart bigger than you could imagine.

He will be terribly missed by many.

Everyone is welcome on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 with a viewing held at 1:30pm followed by the service at 2:00pm. at the Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery. A private family interment will take place on December 19, 2014.

The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Cardiology team for all their hard work in trying to keep Roger with us.
