Peacefully, following a lengthy illness and a courageous battle the family announces the passing of Sally Elizabeth Rowe (nee Trump) on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the age of 72, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Sally will be lovingly missed by her son, Jason (Stacey), her cherished granddaughter, Jaylyn, her brother Ray (Deb), nephews Stuart and Patrick and many special friends. Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard Rowe, her parents Norman and Emily Trump, as well as Richard’s parents Clifford and Dorothy Rowe.
Born in Winnipeg on November 21, 1952, Sally grew up in Windsor Park where she continued to live throughout her life. After marrying Richard, the couple spent time in La Ronge, Saskatchewan, where they welcomed their only son Michael Jason, who became the light of their lives. Jason later blessed Sally with her only grandchild, Jaylyn Nicole, with whom she shared a extraordinary bond. Together they spent countless hours together enjoying reading, playing games, watching movies and baking cookies. Sally, Jason, and Jaylyn also created some wonderful memories traveling to Disney World and Maui, Hawaii.
Sally spent her working life as a senior accountant for the firm Burke, Cantor & Associates where some of her clients affectionately called her “Sally Money”. Later she continued her career at Grant Thornton before her retirement in 2015.
A talented seamstress and craftswoman, Sally took great joy in creating beautiful dresses and sweaters for her granddaughter, knitting sweaters and hats for charity as well as more recently creating cozy blankets for sick children and hats for babies in the NICU. Her creativity and generosity touched many lives.
Sally also had a deep passion for gardening. Her home was filled with thriving houseplants, and her yard was admired by all – a lush oasis of flowers and plants as well as a one of the most fruitful vegetable gardens in all of Windsor Park. Her green thumb and meticulous care brought beauty and life to everything she touched.
As per Sally’s wishes there will be no formal service, and a private interment will take place at a later date.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre 3E, as well as to Dr. Banerji and the team at CancerCare Manitoba for their exceptional care and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Sally’s memory.
Sally will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, kindness and deep love she shared with her family and friends.
