On February 2, 2024, at the age of 90, Teresa Nardella was reunited with her best friend and husband, Felice Frank Nardella. They will walk Ponemah Beach and collect sea glass together forever.
Teresa will be lovingly remembered by son Tony (Kim), two grandchildren Felicia (Kevin), and Tirrell (Danielle), great grandchildren Danette, Trey, and Kyree, daughter Dorothy (Ron), grandchildren Teag (Mel), Jade (Drako) and great grandchildren.
Mom was born in Civita, Italy, in 1933. She immigrated to Canada in 1957 with two year old Dorothy. Dad immigrated two years prior to start a better life for themselves. Mom worked as a seamstress at GWG Jeans in the 70s and worked as a devoted stay at home Nona.
Mom’s best quality was her sense of humour, served with a side of endive soup. She was always so happy to, “Put em’ another plate!” and feed everyone a pot of pasta. Mom took so much joy in tending her garden, which she proudly turned over with a pitchfork even at 88 years old. She especially enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Ponemah, Manitoba, where she had her second garden.
Above all, Nona prioritized her family. She constantly reminded us that no matter what, we have to love each other.
Special thanks to the staff of Victoria Hospital and Riverwood assisted living home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
