

Donald Wade Evans, "Donny" to family and friends age 64, assed away suddenly on Saturday, April 1,2017. Donny, a longtime Needles resident, was born on May 17, 1952 in Needles, California. He retired after many years of service with the Needles Unified school District. Although he retired as the department's transportation supervisor, for many years he drove the bus for the kids to and from school and earned the name "Murdock" by young student athletes he would transport to and from ball games.
Donny was no stranger to hard work. He grew up on the family farm ranching and cattle driving. He grew up to love the sport of rodeo and calf roping which would later be passed down to his children and grandchildren. He loved spending time at the river with his family, watching his grandkids play sports, and share his love of horses.
Donny joined the company of his father Bill Evans and Raymond Poe, his sister Connie (Evans) Kennedy, nephew Preston Mitchum, and his mother-in-law Anita Whitmore in the heavenly bounds of our father Jesus Christ. Donny is survived by his wife Louise; daughter Diane (Mike) Baldwin; son Wade (Mandy) Evans; daughter Ashley (Thomas) Deleon; and son Michael (Rebecca) Evans; grandchildren Blake (Kristie) Baldwin; Austin Baldwin; Trenton Poe-Evans and Boston Poe-Evans; Liana Deleon and Layton Deleon; Ashton Evans; and great granddaughter Kenlee Baldwin; mother Sue Evans; brother Ron (Mary) Evans; John Evans; David (Jill) Evans; Billy (Yvonne) Evans; sister Shannon Mitchum. Donny also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and his beloved Australian Shepherd "Susie".
A memorial service will be held at the family home of sue Evans located at 1645 Cottonwood Lane, Mohave Valley, Arizona, on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at four o'clock p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Craig Rowen Memorial Scholarship fund and/or junior Willis Memorial Scholarship fund would be greatly appreciated.
