Obituary of Alice "Jeanne" Charbonneau
Alice “Jeanne” Charbonneau (Flanigan), age 76 passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021. Jeanne was born in New Albany, Indiana. Jeanne was known to be a devout Catholic and a long member of St. Mary’s Church of New Albany, Indiana. Her favorite hobby included praying for others and being a part of the charismatic prayer group. Jeanne completed a basic training in Lackland Air Force base and completed a short stint with the Kentucky Air National Guard. Jeanne had a passion for making all the young children, grandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephews happy. She was married to Msgt. James Charbonneau for 51 years and will be laid to rest with him. Jeanne will always be remembered as a strong survivor and being the person who didn’t hold back from praying for those who needed it. She is preceded in death of her husband, Msgt. James Charbonneau. Survivors include two children, Sam Charbonneau (Kristi), Anne Langley (Les) and step- daughter, Linda Wilson. Grandchildren; Catie Hollis, Michael & Logan Charbonneau, Nicholas and Luke Langley, Tiffany “Angel” Banules, Summer Smith and great grandchildren J.J. and Mikey. Jeanne was one of 7 children born to David & Colletta Flanigan, with brothers David Flanigan (Rosalee), Harry Flanigan (Becky), Rick Flanigan (Sue), Joyce Adams (Denny), Dion Flanigan (Jackie) and John Flanigan (Michelle) with numerous nephews and nieces, and her best friend, Maryann Sellmer. The family would like to provide a huge appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Diversicare of Providence and Kindred Hospice who so provided the best care for her, you know who you are. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 a Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana with a Catholic Mass at St. Mary’s in New Albany on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky.
