C. BERNARD WOOD, SR., 82 years of age, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at his home. The son of the late Hallie and Anna (Nelson) Wood, Bernard was born May 30, 1929 in Georgetown. He was a farmer and member of the Edwardsville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mildred (Schad) Wood; sons, Charles Wood (Florence) of Floyds Knobs IN and David Wood (Rebecca) of Georgetown IN; brother, Leonard Wood of Owensville IN; 6 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, IN and from 10:00 am ~ 2:00 pm Friday at Edwardsville United Methodist Church in Edwardsville, IN. His Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Friday at his church with burial to follow in Edwardsville Cemetery.
