

In addition to her parents, Carrie was preceded in death by her brothers, Sherman Campbell, Raymond Campbell, Herman Campbell, Henry Campbell, and Rodger Campbell; and sisters, Ruby Adams, Ruth Feltner, and Mary Burnet.
Carrie is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Tammy) Colwell and James "JC" Colwell; brother, Denver Campbell; grandchildren, James Paul Colwell, Austin Wayne Colwell, and Samantha Carrie Colwell; and great-grandchildren, Isaiah Charles Colwell and Scarlet Noelle Colwell.
Carrie, also known as “Cracker,” was loved by many, and fond memories of her will fill the minds and hearts of her family and friends for many years to come. JC will always remember her for making the best biscuits and gravy in the world, while Tammy will always remember her fried potatoes and salmon patties. Austin will never forget how she would throw water on him to wake him up for school. JP and Kenny will always remember family trips that they were able to share with her that included Tennessee, Hilton Head Island, and riding go-karts. Sierra will always remember the birthday parties that they shared together. Samantha, Cora, and Jacob will never forget the love that she had for her grandkids and her great grandkids and how excited she was about them. They also agreed that she would greet anyone that came into her home with a smile and happiness. Carrie will be missed tremendously, but she will clearly never be forgotten.
A celebration of life will be held for Carrie on May 30th, 2025, from 5pm to 7pm at Charlestown Road Southern Baptist Church located at 2404 Charlestown Road, New Albany Indiana.
