Been a few years since you have been gone and I still miss you so much. Tell mom how much I miss her as well and we will all be together again someday.

Our last trip together was awesome Love lives on 

Well, here we are just sitting here thinking about all the good times that I shared with my daddy. When I was young I remember all the overnight fishing trips to the lake where we would land a big carp or catfish on my pole and dad would quickly get over to me to take my pole and complete the catch. Those days past before you know it. But one of the trips I remember really well is when we fished all night and caught many catfish and when a guy that pulled up asked how we were doing I quickly jumped up and pulled the fish out of the water not realizing what I had done until it was to late...I pulled the entire stringer out of the ground and when I went to toss the fish back in well, you guessed it...bye bye fish. Lol, dad said let’s go. There are a lot more stories I could tell you but the big one is the last couple years that we spent together after mom left us so suddenly and dad was very lost. Marquetta and I made sure that dad wasn’t alone as we shared all of our holidays, birthdays and any other special occasion together. Dad was very special to our family as it should be. Being part of going through dads treatment I saw him endure some very tough days of chemo treatment and radiation. Dad, you are with mom now as I have no doubt you both are very happy and pain free. We love you, we miss you, and certainly we will never forget you!! 

I am so sorry your family has been going through so much. Your Daddy was always nice to me.  He use to make salsa for me all the time; I loved it. I read on FB about fudge. Did not know he made good fudge.  I would have loved that!!
Everytime I think of Red I think of his smile.  He was always smiling.  My Dad will be sorry to hear this.  They use to pitch horseshoes together. Your Momma was also always very kind to me.  I attached a photo of the way I remember them.
Sorry I was not at the service. I did not know when it was until just now reading this. I am so sorry for your loss and am praying for your family.

I remember the day that I met him I was with Tommy we went to Cindy's for the holidays and it was good. He will be missed by his family and friends 

Walking 2 miles to church on Sunday stopping at Tom's grocery store for a pop and heading down the railroad tracks to the Christian Church.

Taking me to the drive-in and getting me to ask girls for a date for him and his friends. I was probably 6 years old.

Taking me on road trips when he drove a rig for Gain's Furniture & sleeping in the cab of the truck.


Can't leave out the many fishing trips we went on while growing up and the tale we had about the big one that got away.
