Constance "Connie" Marie Sparrow

Constance "Connie" Marie Sparrow, age 73, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Connie was born on February 4, 1951, to the late Loran and Mildred (Hundley) McAfee. She attended Jeffersonville High School in 1969 and then moved to Hopkinsville High School in 1969 where she graduated. She studied at Western Kentucky University and would later study at Madison Community College where she earned her RN.Connie was an esteemed Registered Nurse that worked for 48 years in the nursing field. She had experience in several nursing specialties including surgery and home healthcare.

Connie enjoyed living life. In her youth she took dance lessons for 14 years. At the age of 16 she was Jeffersonville Miss Image of 1967. She also traveled extensively throughout her 19-year marriage to Dr. A. Bert Sparrow until his death. Connie enjoyed social gatherings with the Jeffersonville class of 69 and the “Dining Divas”. Family was always a priority and she would go to the ends of the earth to protect them. She loved her Daughter, grandchildren and dogs more than life itself. She would light up the room any time she entered it. She was kind, generous, giving and full of life. She always smile on her face and was always up for an adventure. She loved life to the fullest and will be truly missed.

Along with her parents, Connie is preceded in death by husband, Dr. A. Bert Sparrow; two brothers, Kenneth McAfee and Ronald McAfee.

Connie leaves behind her daughter, Robin Ellnor; grandchildren, Vada Taylor, Valencia Taylor, Verri Talyor, and Valen Taylor, Caitlin Pappas, Jaden Shofner, and Shyann Cooper; her niece, Denise Ison (McAfee) her husband Robert, and their children, Jacob and Elizabeth Ison; nephew, Travis McAfee; nephew Shannon McAfee and his wife Laura, and their children Elle and Nash McAfee; nephew, Michael McAfee and his wife, Amanda, and their children, Aidan and Emery McAfee; as well as many lifelong friends.

A visitation for Constance "Connie" will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to service. Entombment will follow services in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
