DANIEL PATRICK "PAT" KENNEDY, 87, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016. The son of the late Daniel and Agnes (Witt) Kennedy, Pat was born July 28, 1929 in New Albany, Indiana. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy Reserves and retired from the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau. He was also past Commissioner of Crossgate Community, and member of the Agricultural Club, Knights of Columbus, and the Hotel/Motel Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Erin Kennedy.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty (Walter) Kennedy; children, Laurie Day (Richard), Shawna Nalley (Greg), Daniel Kennedy (Debbie), and Brett Kennedy (Diana); brother, Walter “Wims” Kennedy (Peggy); 16 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11 am ~ 2 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. There will be a Sharing and Celebration of Pat’s Life at 2 pm Saturday at the funeral home followed by private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
