

DOROTHY WIGGINS LANDGRAF, 76 years of age, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Dorothy was a native of New Albany, born November 11, 1934 to William and Charlila Ross Wiggins. She was an artist and formerly worked at the Canter Cabinet Co., Chase Photography Studio and was the Assistant Supervisor of the Etching Department at the Bruce Fox Company. Dorothy also was an advocate and representative for children in the court system and a guardian and volunteer at Parents Anonymous. She was very dedicated to our military service people and wrote and sent hundreds of letters and packages to them over the years. She has been nationally and locally recognized by the media for her care and dedication to our servicemen and women and will be greatly missed by her family and all whose lives she touched. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, William Wiggins; brother, William wiggins; and a sister, Corrine Dukes.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth F. Landgraf, Jr.; son, Kenneth P. Landgraf of Henryville, IN; daughter, Tammy M. Landgraf Mathews (Carl) of Williston, FL; mother, Charlila Wiggins Hines; grandchildren, Wendy, Brenda and Justin; great-grandchildren, Zack, Dylan, Ally, Savannah, Tristan and Sebastian; and siblings, Pat Hollis, Alvin Hines and Barbara Ann Goodhue.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm ~ 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Kraft Funeral Service 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will be 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
