Mr. Traub was born March 19, 1920 in Georgetown, IN to the late Frederick Martin and Elnora Eisenminger Traub. He retired as the service manager after 37 years with Hunt Tractor in Louisville. After retirement, he enjoyed woodworking and worked at Louisville Auto Auction in Clarksville. He and his wife of 65 years were members of Trinity Methodist Church in New Albany.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Emma Jean Lamar.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Hazel Miller Traub; daughter, Barbara Hunt (Royce); son, Dale Traub (Bernadette); grandchildren, Chelsea Traub, Scott Hunt and Chris Hunt (Kim); great-grandchildren, Karrie and Katelyn Hunt; brothers and sisters, Herbert Traub (Verna), Norma Stilger (Maurice), Ruth Drda (George) and Georgia Steinwald.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany. His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel, with private burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
