Rosalie was a special person in my life.  She was a mentor, a friend, a connector and a beautiful person. My love goes out to her entire family especially Lemor her high school sweetheart.  Their love story is one for the ages.

There were 20 Melloan first-cousins.  Rosalie was the youngest; next,  was me.  I lived behind Iroquois Manor Shopping Center, She lived on Burton Avenue.  Every day I'd ride my bike over to her house via Taylor Blvd.  Her Mom,  my Aunt Rose Baldwin , would fix us peanut butter sandwiches.  We'd take off on our bikes to Wyondott Swimming  Pool.    We'd stay ALL DAY.  I always had to wear a teeshirt because I'd burn like crazy. 
I loved Rosalie's laugh.   I also liked her determination.  She and Lemor " thought they could" and, sure enough, they did. 
Rosalie's irrelaceable in so many ways. I'll miss her.

Thinking of all of you during this difficult good bye . My heart is heavy for you my dear friend Cindy  , be strong as I know your mother would want you to be - she will always be near , she will watch over and keep you safe. She will hear you when you need advice , she will guide you through this life that sometimes is not kind . Hold your head  high with dignity and pride and know that she is not gone ,  look  around and you will see that she is here   , taking every step with you ,  A softly spoken  good morning Mom ,  will be heard and she will know that she is still being  included in your every day life and that keeps her smiling .
Sending peace and  comfort to all whose lives will forever be changed  .

I worked side by side with Rose for over 25 years, in that time we grew to be great friends. I will remember the birthday parties for our dogs and many other crazy days at New Albany Heating. When you work in a family business that long you can't help but feel you are somewhat a part of that family. Rose and Lemor were very generous and provided their Florida condo for many vacations for me and Gene. Her wit and intelligence made the days go faster and I will miss her terribly. My heart goes out to all of her family.

Dear Dowell family, 
Just wanted to say how very sorry I am for your loss. In in the three years that I have been able to be with Rosalie she has been nothing but a blessing to me. She has become a close friend someone that I will never forget. I know in my illnesses and my hospital stays. She always checked in on me. She was so caring about everyone. I loved her family values. Family was always first and she dearly dearly loved her children. She was someone that I could look up to.  Even though I worked for her, I never felt like I was the employee. She always made me feel like a friend and that means a lot. It is a great loss for me as well for I will miss her dearly. It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve such a wonderful lady as Rosalie Dowell. If I can do anything for the family, please let me know. I am just a phone call away thinking of you all and praying for you all Jeanetta stater.

What a beautiful lady, inside and out. I will miss her friendship. My condolences to the entire Dowell, Farnsley and Cherry families.

Back in the old Greenville neighborhood. My Clay went down and up the hill to see Scott and announce “Clay’s here”. Such fun the kids had. Rosalie and I checked to see where one kid was or another. 
We had many years of bunco playing and then we went to lunches.
Miss you dearly Rosalie. You are in a very special place now.❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻

So glad we got to visit in June.  We missed our fun times at the beach and sharing friendship and laughs at our many dinners.
Rosalie hope you are enjoying those breaths of fresh air in God's  heavenly garden.  Lemor,  Cindy, Sheri, and Scott no words can fill the emptiness you are feeling in your hearts.  As a dear friend told me after my mom's passing.."the pain never goes away it  just gets easier to bear"....after almost 30yrs without her I can say it's true.

Lemor and Familiy,  Rosalie was a gift from God and I know you will miss her very much.  On your difficult days rest assured that Rosalie will become one of your Guardian Angels and provide you comfort and guidance from above.  I’ll say a prayer that God welcomed Rosalie with open arms.

Rosalie was a wonderful lady, boss and friend.  I loved her dearly. She had a great sense of humor. She loved her family dearly.  She will be greatly missed. Lemor, Scott, Cindy and Sherri my thoughts and prayers are with you all.  Heaven gained a beautiful angel!
