Gerald F. "Tubby" Brown

Gerald F. “Tubby” Brown, 82 years of age died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. He was born April 23, 1933 in Harrison County, Indiana to the late Arthur and Clara (Sims) Brown. Tubby was a checker at General Electric Co., retiring after 31 years of service and also was a greeter at the Clarksville, Indiana Walmart Lawn and Garden for the last 20 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a 3rd Degree member of the Pope John Paul Council K of C in Lanesville. He was also a member of St. Mary’s Lanesville Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by eight siblings, Elmer, Kenny, Earl, Bonnie and Paul Brown; Alliene Litch, Cleo Litch and LaVerne Cline. Tubby will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and all who met and knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anna Marie Loew Brown; sons, Paul Brown and his wife Kristin, John Brown; brother, Melvin Brown; sister, Shirley Heishman; several grandchildren

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday, September 28th at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, Indiana. His funeral liturgy will be held 10:00 am Tuesday at St. Mary’s Lanesville Catholic Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
