Harry J. Decker, age 87, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025. Harry was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 30, 1938 to the late Samuel and Pauline Lewis Decker. He was graduate of New Albany High School and was retired from Indiana Water Company. He was a member of New Beginnings Church and a veteran in the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Sean Logan Hartman; his first wife, Rosemary Stemley Decker; a sister, Sonja Craghead; and two brothers, Dave Decker and Jim Carroll.
Harry is survived by his loving wife, June B. Carroll Decker; a daughter, Teddie Compton (Chuck); two granddaughters, Melissa Cooke (Mark) and Christina Saylor (Nick); four great grandchildren, Peyton Cooke, Ethan Cooke, Paige Saylor and Logan Saylor; a brother, Mark Decker and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Harry will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday, May 8, 2025 Kraft Funeral Service 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indian 47150.
Funeral service will be Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home with private entombment in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
