ROCKY "JAMES" SHEPARD, 72, died Sunday, August 4, 2013. The son of the late Roy Shepard and Nettie Richardson McCartin, Rocky was born July 13, 1941 in Otisco, IN. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and loved riding his Harley Davidson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Shepard Curtis. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne A. Shepard; daughters, Stacey Shepard Smith, Dawn Miley and Jennifer Murphy (David); grandchildren, James Tyler and Morgan Rae Smith and David Quinlan and Patrick Jack Murphy; great granddaughter, Candice Rae Smith; aunts and uncle, Martha and Larry Lewellyn, Nancy Lewellyn and Pat Setser; and nephews, Mark and Brian Curtis. Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday and 10:00 am to 2:00 pm Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St., New Albany, IN.
