John "Bob" Robert Endris

John Robert “Bob” Endris, 91, of New Albany passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at Providence Retirement Home while in the care of Hosparus Health Southern Indiana. A lifelong native of New Albany, Bob served in the United States Navy before returning home and meeting his beloved wife, Jo Ann. Bob and Jo were married for nearly 60 years before her passing in 2017. He retired from Sonoco’s New Albany plant in 1990 where he proudly worked as a Quality Supervisor. In retirement, Bob most enjoyed spending time with his family, crafting model airplanes, attending monthly breakfasts with fellow Sonoco retirees, and listening to the music of Frank Sinatra. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Maraman (Mark) of New Albany; grandsons, Brent and Nicholas Maraman (Jason Mudd) of Louisville; great-granddogs, Henry and Booker; brother-in-law, Fred Frederick of Corydon; many nieces and nephews; and his companion, Bonnie Denison. It was his wish to be cremated. Kraft Funeral Service has been entrusted with his care. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a future date.
