John Russell Hill, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 14, 2025. He was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on January 12, 1954, to the late Lloyd Hill and Wilma (McKim) Hill Youngs. John was member of Clarksville High School's class of 1972, and an avid Clarksville and IU basketball fan. He was a long time employee as the grounds keeper of Clark County Fairgrounds. John enjoyed photography, he loved landscape photography and the great outdoors.
John is preceded in death by his parents; and his a sister, Linda Hill.
John is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Linda (Cullins) Hill; daughter, Rachel (Timothy) Cochran of New Washington, Indiana; son, Riker Hill of Portland, Oregon; granddaughter, Leslie (Everett) Whitt; great grandchildren, Elaina and Easton; sisters, Lisa (Tony) Walker of New Albany and Bonnie (Don) Ward of East Sound, Washington; nieces, nephews, and extended friends and family.
A private entombment of John's Ashes will be at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana.
The family asks for donations to be made in John's name to the American Cancer Society.
