

John Calvert Randall, 65, of New Albany, Indiana, was born October 26, 1960, in Louisville, Kentucky, and passed away on March 27, 2026, with his loving wife at his side. John will be remembered as an adventurous man whose life was marked by steady devotion to those he loved and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of time well spent.
John was a graduate of the Class of 1979 from New Albany High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. After graduation, he was employed with GRW Engineering and The Defense Mapping Agency. He later became the owner of Randall Aerial Mapping and recently retired from Lubrizol Corporation after 20 years of service.
John enjoyed many interests and hobbies throughout his life, including fishing, hunting, working on cars and machinery, and farm work. He and his wife, Tammy, shared a passion for horseback riding, hiking, traveling, camping, and spending time poolside or gathered around campfires with family and friends.
John loved to dance, listen to Dave Ramsey, and watch Rocky, along with any television show about Alaska or gold mining. A huge football fan, he especially cherished watching his grandson, Miles, play sports—proudly serving as Miles’ biggest fan. John was hardworking, loyal, and trusted, with a loving devotion to his wife, two sons, grandchildren, and daughters-in-law. His life was full of love, grace, and peace.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Sara (Crane) Randall; his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Patricia (Sullivan) Brown; and a brother-in-law, Carl “Moose” Eurton.
John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Tammy (Brown); two sons, Luke (Detra) and Jackson (Alexis); two grandchildren, Miles Anthony and Danielle Leigh; and two brothers: Mark and Steve Randall. He is also survived by sisters in law, many sweet nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 30, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. John's funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Kraft Funeral Service with private burial at Tunnel Hill Cemetery.
