Jonna Darlene Thornton-Diaz, 48 years of age passed January 10, 2015 at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit in Louisville. She was born November 15, 1966 in Louisville and was a United States Air Force veteran of the Gulf War. Jonna was a clerk at the VA Hospital in Louisville and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in New Albany.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Diaz; son, Alex Diaz; mother, Darlene Skelton; father, Jerry Thornton, Sr.; step-father, Gus Destephanis brother, Jerry Thornton, Jr. (Karla), Dion DeStephanis, Deron DeStephanis, Daniel DeStephanis; sister, Darla DeStephanis; mother-in-law, Maria J. Reyes; sister-in-law, Zahily Diaz; niece, Kayla Thornton.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd., New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am Saturday at the Kraft Chapel with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
