Joyce Ann (Stemle) Becker, 88, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022, at her home. The daughter of the late Irvin Louis and Lucille Marie (Rayle) Stemle, Joyce was born July 7, 1933 in New Albany. Joyce was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany where she was a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered for many activities. She had also worked in the deli at Kroger, was a Hallmark card vendor, and she had a love of horses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, John Becker, and siblings, Sharon Wortham and Dennis Stemle.
Joyce is survived by her children, Terri Youngs (Kenn), Mark Youngs (Dori), Michael Youngs (Mary), Tammalynne Cook (Donnie), Timberly Lynne McKinley, Traci Lynne Dykes (Coba), and Jamie Becker (Cary); brother, David Stemle; adopted brother, Gale Stephens; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2 pm ~ 8 pm Monday, April 18th, at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. There will a Rosary and Remembrance Service at 7:15 Monday at the funeral home. Her Funeral Mass will be 11 am Tuesday, April 19th, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, New Albany with entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
