Katherine Jean (Meyer) “Kathy” Kannapel, 44 years of age, died Friday, May 7, 2021. She was born June 28, 1976 in New Albany, Indiana to William Von Meyer, Sr. and Bonnie Marie (Ridge) Meyer. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin, Indiana. Kathy babysat and helped raise many children. She will be dearly missed by her husband, son, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Andy Kannapel; son, Drew Kannapel; parents, Von and Bonnie Meyer; sister, Windy Alton; brother, Wm. Von Meyer, Jr.; and grandmother, Doris Jean Ridge.
Visitation will be 10 am ~ 2 pm Thursday, May 13th at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany IN. Her Funeral Service will be 2 pm Thursday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private burial following in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
