Kathlene (Young) Pollard, 81 years of age passed away Tuesday June 14, 2016. She was born March 28, 1935 in Hindman, KY in Knot County to the late Arlie and Lusinda (Singleton) Young and was the wife of sixty-two years of Burnis Pollard. Kathlene loved her family and especially her flower gardens and plants. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings: Avery, Argus, Treva and Bessie Faye.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years Burnis Pollard; five children, Kathy Pollard(Ty), Stanley Pollard(Dena), Timothy Pollard(Tonya), Jeffrey Pollard(Diana) and Lisa Pollard; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; siblings, Rex Young, Chandler Young, Nolan Young (Fern), Leon Young; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday and after 10:00 am Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday June 17th, at the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
