Martha Cummins McCaffrey, 93 years of age passed away Wednesday December 28, 2016. She was born March 20, 1923 in Milltown, IN to the late Noble and Gertrude Schenk. Martha was formerly employed at the old Army Ammunition Plant, and Allied Ready Mix. She was a member of the VFW ladies auxiliary and Pearl Baptist Church in New Albany. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd Cummins and George McCaffrey, son, Gary Cummins, sister, Vera Bennett, and brother Owen Schenk.
Survivors include her daughter Tonja Cummins Pruitt, granddaughter, Cheyenne Cummins, grandson, Jason Cummins (Alana), great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Kee, sister, Fern Bogle.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with private entombment to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
