

Marvin R "Bussie" Kerr, age 89, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. He was born and raised in Georgetown, Indiana to loving parents, Emery and Mary Elizabeth Kerr. Marvin attended school in Georgetown where he enjoyed playing basketball. He proudly served in the Army and was stationed in Puerto Rico during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In his early year, he worked in construction/heavy equipment and at the Indiana Army Ammunitions Plant in Charlestown. Later, he worked for the Indiana State Highway Department in the Materials Testing Division, where he retired.He was a member of the Jeffersonville Jaycees, Optimist Club, coached Little League baseball and played softball. He and his beloved wife of 60 years, traveled extensively, relishing time with great friends and each other. During his retirement, he enjoyed gardening in his flower obeds and teaching his grandchildren important life skills.
He is survived by his daughters, Cara Hall, Robin Krawiec (Clifford) and son, Michael Hoskins (Michele); his grandchildren, Matthew Hoskins (Jessy), McLain Hoskins, Maci Hoskins and Sophia Krawiec; three great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. He is also survived by multiple cherished nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Kerr, his parents, brother Charles Kerr, sister-in-law Emma Rae Kerr, and son-in-law, Scott Hall. Marvin will be greatly missed by all those who love him.
A visitation for Marvin will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150. A funeral service will occur Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150. His graveside service will follow on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
