Mary M. Loftus

Mary M. (Hess) Loftus, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany. The daughter of the late George and Margaret Andres Hess, Mary was born October 13, 1927 in New Albany. She was retired from Indiana Bell Telephone and the former Marriott Hotel. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church in New Albany, member of VFW Auxillary 1832 in Jeffersonville, and member of the L.I.F.T. Group. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terrence F. Loftus; siblings, Carl Hess, Jane Neidiffer, Fritz Neafus, Lucille Riall, Dorothy Patton and Ruth Deitsch; and son-in-laws, Jesse Gilstrap and Rick Quinlin. Mary was kind, fun, and full of laughter. She simply loved and enjoyed life and will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Mary Ann Pinter (Tom), Dawn Quinlin, Gigi Gilstrap, and Danny Loftus (Tracy); grandchildren, Misty Hodges, Amanda Skillern, T. J. Pinter, Chris Quinlin, Kellie Wilson, Scott Quinlin, Adam Gilstrap, Josh Gilstrap, Rachel Gunn, Ryane Lawson Loftus, and Madison Loftus; great grandchildren, Caroline, Carsyn, Olivia, Sophie, James, Hunter, Sydney, Gavin, Reece, Mason, Paisley, Ryleigh, Mykenze, Dawson, Conner, Tanner, Jason, and Ava; sister, Betty Hutchinson; and a host of extended family members and friends. Visitation will be from 4 pm ~ 8 pm Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Friday, June 5, 2020, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
