The son of Ray and May Lamm, he was born in 1924 in New Albany. He was a World War II Army veteran where he earned the Bronze and Silver Stars. He wrestled for and graduated from Indiana University.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jeanne Curry Lamm; daughters, Jane O’Connor and her husband, Bill, and Patty Zielinski and her husband, Dan; a son, Ray Lamm and his wife, Dodie; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or Kosair Childrens Hospital.
