Nancy L. Gilkey

Nancy L. Gilkey, age 79, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025. Nancy was born on May 2, 1946, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Norman Rouck Sr. and Geneva M. (Sunderhaus) Rouck. She was an avid dog lover, especially golden retrievers, and a former President of the Louisville Kennel Club. Nancy was a proud honorary Kentucky Colonel. She was an employee of Capital Holdings and Commonwealth Life Insurance for over 30 years. Nancy was a huge Bobby Knight and Indiana basketball fan.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; Norman Sr. and Geneva Rouck; and her loved furry friends and companions.

Nancy is survived by her brothers; Norman "Buddy" Jr.; and Robert (Grace) Rouck, as well as many extended family members and friends.

A Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana, on Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Her Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 10:00 am with burial at Saint Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Floyd county/New Albany Humane Society.
