Raymond Edward Elstone

RAYMOND EDWARD ELSTONE, 87, died Saturday, October 18, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late George and Agnes Elstone, Ray was born August 9, 1927, in Louisville, Ky. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, retired from C. Lee Cook Company after 47 years of service, and was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. Ray was an avid bowler and golfer and was a talented woodworker. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings Kate Ward and Joe Elstone.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, M. Mildred (Hildreth) Elstone; children, Rose Marie Himmelreich (Ron) and Douglas Edward Elstone (Russell Powell);

grandchildren, Andrew and Jacob Himmelreich; and siblings, Mary Winn Reider and Pete Elstone.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm ~ 7:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany IN. His Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Thursday at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Louisville, Ky.
