Rickie Lee Crady, 66, passed away January 10, 2022. The son of the late Donnie Lee and Evelyn Davis Crady, Rick was born February 1, 1955 in New Albany, Indiana. Rick owned a body shop and radiator shop and later retired from his position as a Superintendent from Padgett, Inc. Rick had a love for working and it never mattered what he worked on. Any given night, you could find Rick and his son, Chad, tinkering with something in his garage. Rick had a love for old hot rods and fast cars. He loved spending his mornings at Vic’s and spent his evenings with his wife at the 40 & 8 Club or at home watching his grand babies play. Rick was a family man. He loved cooking and smoking bbq for his family and friends and watching NASCAR. He enjoyed watching his sons race go carts and working on vehicles. Rick was a welder, carpenter, mechanic, and Mr. Fixit. If Rick couldn’t fix it - then it wasn’t fixable. He was a loving husband, father, and very loving papaw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Lynn Crady Jenkins Nichols.
Rick is survived by his wife, Diana Riley Crady; children, Travis John Crady, Kristyal Lee Hardy (Carl), and Chadwick Davis Crady (Ashley); grandchildren, Adelynn, Serenity, Maddox, Carl, Hadly, and Westlyn; and siblings, Vickie Lee Crady Padgett, Jeffery Gerald Crady, and Glenda Kay Crady Jahn.
Visitation will be 11:00 am ~ 1:00 pm Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday in the Kraft Spring Street Chapel with cremation to follow.
