ROBERT H. WELDON, JR., Jr., 72, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. The son of the late Christeen A. (Carpenter) and Robert H. Weldon, Sr., Robert was born August 21, 1940 in Olean, New York. He was the sporting goods department manager at Wal-Mart for 23 years and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in New Albany.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Deannia (Theobald) Weldon; children, Rev. Robert F. Weldon, Sr. (Johnna), John Harold Weldon (Lori), Jeffery Brian Weldon (Teresa) and Deannia Jean Dailey (Shawn); sisters, Donna Shireman, Carol Hunt, Sandy Herron, Nancy Storie and Susan Wimsatt; grandchildren, Michael (Amanda), Melissa, Patrick, Nathen, RJ, Courtney, Natasha (Tony), Christian and Jade
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany and after 12:30 pm Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, 1787 Klerner Lane, New Albany. His Funeral Service will be 1:30 pm Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
