Sharon L. Stemle Wortham

Sharon L. Wortham, 78 years of age died Thursday, October 30, 2014. She was born July 21, 1936 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Louis Stemle and Lucille (Rahl) Tabor. Sharon worked at Kingfish Restaurant on Zorn Avenue for 35 years and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Albany, Indiana. She loved to play BINGO and along with her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Wortham; infant son, Sheldon Wortham; brother, Dennis Stemle; and stepfather, Bud Tabor.

Survivors include his son, Greg Wortham (Tracy); companion, Gale Stephens; brother, David Stemle (Donna); sister, Joyce Becker; grandchildren, Tanner Wortham, Mackenzie Wortham; beloved dogs, Jackson and Rowdy.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Norton Cancer Institute in St. Matthew’s for the excellent care and love they gave to Sharon over the past two years.

Visitation will be 10:00 am until 6:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Mass will be 11:00 am Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
