Sheila S Dotts, age 72, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023. Sheila was born to the late Robert and Lorena Danner on September 27, 1950, in New Albany, Indiana. She later married her loving husband of 45 years, Joseph “Joe” Dotts, and started their family. Sheila earned her degree in teaching and was a devoted teacher of 32 years at Silver Street Elementary School in New Albany, where she would later retire. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church member in New Albany, Indiana.
In her spare time, Sheila enjoyed landscaping, working in her yard, traveling, and reading. Sheila was a loving wife, mother and teacher to many and will be greatly missed.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Joseph “Joe” Dotts; and her children, Amanda Dotts, and 1st Lieutenant Jonathan Dotts (Linda).
A visitation for Sheila will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
