Sherry Anderson, age 77, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Sherry was born in New Albany, Indiana, on March 23, 1947, to the late Albert and Gertie Mahoney. She graduated from New Albany High School and was a long-time employee of the Pillsbury Company in New Albany, Indiana. Sherry was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Club.
Sherry was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a witty sense of humor and had no problem telling you how it was. Sherry never met a stranger. She had a huge heart and unconditionally loved her family, friends, and pets. She will be very missed by all who knew her.
Along with her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her two children, Jeffery Poindexter and Stephanie Lomax, as well as her siblings.
Sherry is survived by her two grandchildren, Madelyn Lomax and Murphy Lomax; brother-in-law, Jim Marini; nephew Andy Marini; nieces Jenny Marini and Heather Cooper; best friend and caregiver Shelly Redford; companion Walter Phipps; and numerous cousins.
Her friends and family would like to thank everyone at Hosparus Health and the caregivers from Till The End for their care and support.

Sherry's visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
Sherry will be laid to rest in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
