Suzanna Elizabeth Summers

Suzanna Elizabeth Summers, 85, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Suzanna was born in New Albany, Indiana on December 31, 1936 to the late Edwin George Hammett and Geneva Katherine McNutt Hammett. She was a retired teaching assistant with the Mesa School System. She served as past president for MARC, ARC and Rauch Boards. Suzanna was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Xi Theta Sorority.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, TSGT Paul David Summers, Retired USAF; siblings, Pearl Trebing, Edwin Hammett, Mark Hammett, George Hammett and Patrick Hammett.

Suzanna is survived by four children, Paula Sue (James) Hoefer; Ralph David Summers, Catherine Lynn Summers and Robert Edwin Summers; grandchildren, Brian (Stephanie) Freker, Jamie Summers and Christopher (Hilary) Freker; great grandchildren, Jordyn, Elijah, Joshua and Olive; two sibling, Lawrence Hammett and David (Carole) Hammett and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Suzanna will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150.

Funeral service will be Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 2:00 PM, at the funeral home with burial to follow in Wolfe Cemetery.
