Virginia L. Baxter, passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born December 13, 1935, in New Albany, Indiana to the late Joseph and Olivia Rake. She was retired from M. Fine and Son Shirt Factory and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles LeRoy Baxter; a son, Donald Baxter; two brothers, Richard Rake and Charles Rake and a sister, Mary Jo Grimm.
Virginia is survived by two sons, Richard Baxter and David Baxter; two grandchildren, Michael Baxter and Devin Baxter; two great grandchildren, Sidney and Levi and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Service, located at 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana, 47150, on November 25, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church-Starlight, 8310 St. John Road, Floyds Knobs, Indiana, 47119, on November 26, 2025, at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
