Carlos A. Cordeiro

Born in New Bedford, son of Isidro and Filomena C. (Lopes) Cordeiro, he had resided in Fairhaven for the past 6 years. He was a graduate of New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School.

Carlos had worked in the field of construction, most recently at Thompson’s Waterproofing.

Carlos had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a hard worker, loved his car, fishing and spending time in his yard at home. He loved his dog, Ice, especially taking walks around town. Carlos loved spending time with his family whom he adored so much.

Surviving in addition to his parents, Isidro and Filomena, is his girlfriend, Jill Fletcher; his brothers, Ricardo M. Cordeiro and Steven L. Cordeiro and his girlfriend Melissa Lee Costa; his nephew, Cole Logan Cordeiro; his godparents, Maria and Gil Raposa; his maternal grandparents in St. Michael, Manuel Ferreira Lopes and Maria Rosa Lopes; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 2-6 p.m. at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Funeral, Monday, October 28, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 440 Main St., Fairhaven. Burial private.
