Claire Rose Coderre-Moniz

February 23, 2013. She was the wife of Frank C. Moniz Jr. and the late Normand Coderre.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Arzelia (Frechette) Castonguay.

Claire enjoyed watching golf, playing bingo, taking trips to casinos and was an avid New England sports fan.

Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Diane Leblanc and her husband Roland of Fairhaven and Donna Johnson and her fiancé Michael Robert of New Bedford; a son, David Coderre and his wife Patti of Taunton; a step daughter, Cynthia Travers and her husband Jeff of Sandwich; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; four siblings, Aline Lamarre, Leo Castonguay,Pauline Poisson and Doris Richard; two step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Gary Coderre and sister of the late Ernest Castonguay.

Her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the entire staff of St. Luke’s Hospital for the care Claire received while she was

there.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass Monday, MARCH 4 2013 at 10 AM in St. Joseph-St. Therese, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford.Burial will be private.
