Born in New Bedford, a son of Sarah (Gaylord) Gillis and her husband Joseph of Carver and the late Normand Dupont.
Daniel lived most of his life in New Bedford. He lived several years in sunny Florida a state that he loved. Dan was an extremely talented artist and was very smart.
In addition to his mom, he is survived by four sisters, Deborah Woodside of Attleboro, Diane Howley of Griswold, CT, Doreen Bettencourt of Swansea, MA and Dawn Anderson of Cranston, RI; three brothers, Normand Dupont of Orlando, FL, Douglas Dupont of Oviedo, FL, and Michael Parent of Attleboro; and many nieces and nephews.
