Daniel A. Ferreira

We’ve lost our beloved father, devoted brother and faithful friend. His name is Daniel Ferreira who passed away on September 3, 2013 and he was 60 years old. He lost his 2 year battle with cancer, surrounded by his family and closest friends. He fought courageously never giving up, thankful for every next day he had to spend with all of us. Daniel had a heart of gold, a caring and generous spirit. He had such a deep impact on all of us that he will be with us forever.

Daniel Ferreira was born in New Bedford where he resided all his life. He was the son of the late Edmund and Regina Ferreira.

Surviving relatives include his children, Katherine Pacheco and her husband Steven, Daniel A. Ferreira, Jr., Victoria Ferreira and Timothy Ferreira; four grandchildren Allen Ferreira, Amanda and Steven Pacheco and Daniel Ferreira, III; one great-grandchild, Abella Vieira; a brother, Richard Ferreira and his wife Linda and their daughter Karyn Ferreira; three sisters, Shirley DeLima and her children, Steven DeLima and Christine Martin, Charlene Branquinho, and Robin Ferreira and her son Nathan Ferreira; his former wife, Pauline Mello and his former companion Robin Monteiro. “Be Bye”

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 10AM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Visiting hours Friday 6-8PM. Burial in St. John’s Cemetery.
