

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Adelard and Angeline (Leblanc) Dube, he was a lifelong resident of the city. Mr. Dube was a United States Army Air Corps Veteran and later joined the Army National Guard in New Bedford. He was employed a Mixing Technician in the Rubber Division of the Acushnet Company for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Dube enjoyed gardening, woodworking, working on his cars, traveling, yearly trips to Florida to visit his family and was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New Bedford. He loved spending time with his family, especially his great-grandchildren and enjoyed watching their hockey, soccer, baseball and jujitsu games.
He is survived by his two sons, Dennis E. Dube and his wife Deb of East Freetown and Ronald M. Dube and his wife Lorraine of Kissimmee, FL; four granddaughter, Kimberly Skodnik, Carrie Burgess, Amy Magnett and Lori Brightman; eight great grandchildren, Lucy and Luke Burgess, Aiden and Presley Skodnik, Christina and Brayden Magnett, and Eva and Samuel Brightman; two sisters Antoinette Richard of New Bedford and Andrea Morris of Plymouth; his companion Estelle Vigeant and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 9AM from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help 235 N. Front St., New Bedford. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7PM. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
