

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Fred J. and Isabel (James) Eaton, he spent his childhood in New Bedford before moving to Fairhaven in 1978. He was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Harold served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as a rope maker for Lambeth Rope for 37 years before retiring and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by one daughter, Robin Eaton of New Bedford; four grandchildren, David Eaton, Bethany, Amy and Michael Prast; one great-grandchild, Isabella Andrini; one brother, William Eaton and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Fred, Charles and Norman Eaton, Dorothy Medeiros, Bernice Magnant and Edith Radziewicz.
His Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:00AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 357 Main St., Fairhaven followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven. Arrangements are in the care of the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
