Judith G. Trahan

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Edmond E. Terra and Blanche (Viveiros) Terra, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.

Mrs. Trahan had worked in the retail industry at Mars Bargainland, Arlans Department Store and Burger King.

Judy enjoyed playing Bingo and loved animals especially her many cats throughout the years. She and her friends Madeleine and the late Germaine Rodriques shared a special friendship, enjoying each other’s company, going to the movies, shopping and dining out. During her many years at Taber Mills Apartments, she developed wonderful friendships and enjoyed her time there.

She is survived by two daughters, Danielle Priebe of Acushnet and Stacy Trahan-Lima and her husband Michael of N. Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Lauren Pimental and Zachary Genovezos; two great grandchildren, Julian and Jayce; a sister, Jacqueline Jorgensen; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory may be made to Lighthouse Animal Shelter, 596 Hathaway Rd., New Bedford, MA 02740.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 10:00AM in St. Francis Xavier Parish, 125 Main Street, Acushnet, MA 02743. Arrangements are in the care of Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
