

Born in New Bedford and a lifelong resident, she was a daughter of the late Hector and Evangeline O’Bomsawin.
She had worked as a waitress for many years in local restaurants and later worked as a certified home health aide. She loved dancing, playing cards, bowling, the beach, and trips to Foxwoods. She was proud of her Abenaki Indian heritage and enjoyed many pow wows with her sisters.
Survivors include six children, Cecile Kennedy and husband David, Armand Zussy and wife Sandra, Michelle Rowe and husband Herb, Eugene Zussy and companion Linda Rounseville, Robert Zussy and wife Patricia and Giselle Michaud and husband Thomas; six step-children, Robert Hebert and wife Marcia, Jackie Brown and husband David, Michael Hebert, David Hebert and wife Lynn, Pat Wolinski and Dennis Hebert and wife Doreen; twenty five grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Ociesa and Yolande Scotti. She was sister of the late Simone Dube, Lillian Saenz, Yvette Fortin, Roland O’Bomsawin and Jacqueline Kopaczewski.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 9am from the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a funeral mass at 10am in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Visiting hours Friday 5-8pm. Burial private.
