Mary V. Gendreau

Born in New Bedford, she lived most of her life in Dartmouth, residing in Fairhaven and Florida. Mrs. Gendreau was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence M. (Weeks) Pelletier.

She was a graduate of St. Anne’s School of Nursing Class of 1952 and worked as an RN for 43 years until her retirement. Mary was an active member of the St. Anne’s School of Nursing Alumni.

Survivors include her two sons; Michael Gendreau of Fairhaven and Charles J. Gendreau and his wife Elaine of New Bedford, three daughters; Michelle M. Pike and her husband Michael of New Bedford, Charlene Garcia of Fall River, Donna M. Brito and her Fiancé Joseph Ferreira of North Dartmouth, one brother; Paul Pelletier of New Bedford, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

Her funeral mass will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 12 noon in St. George’s Church, 12 Highland Avenue, Westport, MA. Visiting hours will be TODAY (Sunday), from 7-9pm at ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA.
