Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Leonard and Veronica (Cordeira) Vieira, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
Beckie worked as a medical secretary at Charlton Memorial Hospital. In her spare time, she loved spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Bella. Beckie did a lot of traveling in her younger years and she liked to go bowling with her sister. She spent many evenings with her niece, Paige, watching scary movies.
In addition to her companion, she is survived by a sister, Cathy Jo Lamé and her companion Skip Lucas of New Bedford; a brother, Thomas Vieira and his wife Maureen of Arlington, VA; a nephew, Nevin Lamé; a niece, Paige Lamé; great nieces and nephew, Addison Lamé, Karsyn Lamé, and Donovin Lamé.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 10am in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Visiting hours will follow the service from 10am-12pm.
