Born in New Bedford, MA, son of the late George Ernest and Odelie(Cote) Chapdelaine. He was predeceased by his brother, George E. Chapdelaine, and his sister, Lucille G. Guay.
He is survived by 3 nieces, Joan Sandra Burgess, Susan Meunier, and Denise Valois, all of New Bedford.
Robert was part owner of Star Laundry and Linen Service. After his retirement from the laundry, he was a bus driver for Laidlaw Bus Company in Lakeville, MA for 18 years. Robert proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Idaho in the Pacific.
