Robert E. DeMello

Born in New Bedford, Robert graduated from New Bedford High School. He went on to proudly serve in the United States Army, completing a tour of duty in Germany. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Millwright for Titlist.

Robert loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He was known for his infectious smile and love of helping others. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. He was also extremely proud of his military service and being a Veteran. Robert was also an active member of the Patriot Guard Riders, serving many missions over the last several years.

He is survived by his children, Damion DeMello and his wife Lauren of AR, Brent DeMello and his wife Samantha of New Bedford, Kristen DeMello of New Bedford and Caitlyn DeMello of AR: eight grandchildren, Tristen, Ezekial, Tyler, Jaden, Mackenzie, Gabriel, Gavin and Icelynn; his sisters, Dorothy Zell of Marion and Margaret Liberty of Acushnet; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Edward Dias.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 at 9:45AM in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. Relatives and friends are invited.
