Sandra Traves Torres

She was the beloved wife of Norberto M. Torres.

Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Paiva) Nascimento, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford.

Mrs. Torres was a member of Long Plain Baptist Church in Acushnet, MA.

She was employed as a Supervisor at Cliftex Clothing, Head Cook at Little People’s College in Fairhaven, and as a receptionist for Autumn Glen until her retirement.

Sandra enjoyed Crossword Puzzles, her collection of jewelry, pocketbooks, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Norberto M. Torres, a daughter Linda Pacheco, a son Jeffrey Torres and his wife Michelle Torres, all of New Bedford; a brother Edward Nascimento and his wife Betty of Florida; four grandsons, Joshua Pacheco and his wife Amie of Somerset, Justin Pacheco and his wife Abbey of North Dartmouth, Jacob Torres and his wife Dominique of Westport, and Jordan Torres and his girlfriend Chloe Lima of New Bedford; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Gloriana Russell, Emily Santos, and Al Nascimento.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Sandra’s visiting hours, to be held with her cremains at Smith Mills Family of Christ Church, at 11 Anderson Way, Dartmouth MA, on March 21, 2026, starting at 10:30-11:30 AM with a Celebration of Life Service to follow immediately.
